Design Apartments Weimar
An Overnight Stay in Designer Showrooms
Mark Pohl has created a trio named the ‘Design Apartments Weimar’ in which visitors can immerse themselves in both classic design and new at the same time.
Whether it’s Goethe or BAUHAUS - a weekend trip to the historic city of Weimar is always worth the journey! Above all, design enthusiasts have always been drawn to the famous city for its cultural heritage that fascinates people from all over the world.
Fuldaer Sr. 85 offers three different boutique apartments in a modern design. The apartments are individually furnished, consisting of curated interior design from graduates at the local Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
Everything showcased derrives from labels such as New Tendency, Objekte unserer Tage, Bartmann Berlin, Milia Seyppel Studio, Olga Bielawska Laura Strasser, AndTradition, Menu, Ercol Furniture, Eilersen, Lyngby Porcelain, Louis Poulsen, Vitra, Hermann Miller, Kiessler, Thonet, Korridordesign, CallicoWallpaper, EmmaMatratze, Plumen, Lara Lütke Design, Lapalainen, Feldspat, Lagomworld, Schneid, Recoltoir und Christoph Born.
All labels are part of the Living Showroom project which guests have the opportunity to buy and take their favourite pieces home.
Aside from this, a further concept of Design Apartments Weimar is to present affordable design in the form of small series works and unique pieces. This helps especially young designers and startups who can be supported via the project and sell their creations without rental commissions or dealer costs. A great and sustainable project, hats off to the team!
