Mahdavi is an icon in the design world amassing international praise and recognition through her courageousness and skillful style streaks.
These trademark and exaggerated colours and contrasts are to thank for giving a space a personality.
Again and again, oriental, classic, and typical 60s and 70s decor elements appear in her concepts. These are all part of Mahdavi's personal memory and tell stories of Teheran she had collected of her parents' journeys. Mahdavi describes her style herself as comical, since she deliberately exaggerates and with many a viewer exciting shock effects are triggered.
