Swiss photographer Ilka Kramer, with her series MalaNazar 01, interprets our perception of the relationship between space and nature.
MalaNazar is an experimental field exploring the concept of space and its difficulty to be defined. Space is something no one can neither see, feel, smell or influence and is the prerequisite of every life, growth, or movement.
The series 01 deals with our perception of landscape settings when we are within an architectural, artificial environment. Only through the view, framed by a window, surrounded by walls, we create a relation to nature. The landscape becomes the image and we naturally lose our direct, sensual contact with her.
