Together Chen Chen and Kai Williams have been producing products, art and furniture since 2011 with a distinctly different aesthetic.
The designer duo from Brooklyn, New York, is known for their experimental approach. Whether it’s cement, resin or cast iron, Chen and Williams tend to their materials with unusual methods, making them pioneers of a very unique direction. Their loud and usually colour-rich creations were exhibited at the Museum of Art & Design in New York, as well as the Design Days of Dubai, the DDays Paris and at the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

With this philosophy, they have made many unusual products such as coasters formed from a blend of melted colourful resin. The outcome was later used as inspiration for a carpet collaboration with Tai Ping Carpets.
